On When to Select a Rug
“If the rug is super decorative, we select it first so we can compile all other furnishings around its palette. If the rug is more neutral, we typically select it at the end. STARK has so many options that we know we’ll find one that suits our color scheme perfectly.”
On Tailoring to a Room
“For unconventionally shaped rooms, traditional rectangular rugs often create awkward angles. To avoid that, we love using STARK broadlooms and shaping them to the room, leaving anywhere from 6-12 inches between the carpet and wall. A rug treatment like this tends to unite the entire space.”
