The images we display have the most accurate color possible. Due to monitor/screen settings, there will be variations in color between the actual product and the photos on our site.In some cases, patterns, colors, and other design elements may vary. Each rug is unique. It is absolutely normal to have slight color differences across the rugs due to the humidity, hand-dying process, varying exposure to daylight, and different batches of dyes used in the handmade rugs.
Lengths and widths may vary from the published dimensions. We do our best to provide you with an accurate measurement, but please be advised that some variation exists and this is not a manufacturing defect. The dimensions may vary up to 4% due to the manufacturing and rolling-up processes, this happens throughout the industry. Should you think that there is an extraordinary difference between the size of the rug you received and the expected size please reach out to our Customer Service.
Standard serging offers a consistently refined appearance. In contrast, organic serging involves custom twisted wool yarn processed through our specialized organic serging machine, resulting in a finish reminiscent of our classic hand serge.
A tweeded finish is a process in which multiple yarns are fed through the standard serging machine at the time of application, resulting in a less consistent multi color finish on the edge.
The organic serging involves custom twisted wool yarn processed through our specialized organic serging machine, resulting in a finish reminiscent of our classic hand serge.
The stria yarn is wound using multiple colors at the mill to give a more consistent tweeded look to our standard machine finish.
As dye lots in both yarn and material can vary, we cannot ensure an identical appearance between a tech sample and the final rug. Hence we refrain from providing tech samples.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Please visit our care and cleaning guide for helpful tips on how to best maintain your handmade rug or carpet. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us directly at information@starkcarpet.com
If an area rug becomes spotted or stained, work quickly. When
possible, scoop up solids and blot liquids immediately after a spill occurs. Absorb as much liquid as possible with a white cloth or paper towel without scrubbing the area to prevent matting or fuzzing. Contact a hand-made rug cleaning professional immediately.
WARRANTY
As a general rule, rugs of all materials and constructions should be rotated every 3-6 months to balance color and evenly distribute wear.
All wool rugs will shed. Shedding will subside over time, depending on traffic and wear. It typically takes 20-25 vacuums, at a minimum, to curtail shedding. Some will shed for the lifetime of the rug.
Loose fibers, or sprouts, are a normal part of the break-in process of handmade rugs. To remove sprouts, use a small pair of scissors to snip them off even with the pile. Do not pull the fiber out, as this can cause a deterioration of the backing.
