A: "Geometric shapes invite quiet intrigue into a space without distracting from the other elements of the design."
Q: What are your favourite ways to design around geometric patterns?
A: "The easiest way to use geometric prints is to keep them neutral, or to pull out the other colours in the space so it doesn’t feel too graphic."
Q: How do you select the right material for a rug or carpet?
A: "Consider the action the area will see. If it’s a high-traffic area or if children have access to it, the darker and more geometric, the better—as it will help camouflage dirt and damage. Low-pile and loop weaves are also great for main spaces like the living room."
Q: What advice do you have for selecting the right size rug?
A: "Rugs define space more than anything else. If you are trying to make a space feel bigger, you’ll want to maximize the rug size (or you might want to go wall-to-wall). If we select a rug that’s not wall-to-wall, we try to ensure that all furniture can either fit all the way or halfway on the rug."
