Using a hand-held tool, yarn is expertly punched through a canvas backing to create both cut and loop piles, then secured with a secondary fabric for lasting structure. This technique results in a dense, heavy-weight rug with a luxuriously soft feel underfoot. Carving and shearing add depth and texture for a striking, dimensional finish.
