Woven by machine and controlled by computer with electronic jacquards, carpet can be created with infinite detail. While still considered a flatweave because there technically is no pile, the best factories are able to create various structures and weaves that give even the flattest carpet depth and dimension. Using multiple colors in both the warp and the weft allows the for unique blends of color and texture.
